Exhibition
‘Stories in photos’

At the beginning of May 2024 at the ChillaxRoom, I had the pleasure to present my second exhibition ‘Stories in Photos’. I called it so because the works I selected are not just beautiful photos, but images inspired by my travels in recent years - to Africa, the Caucasus, Germany, Italy and, of course, Bulgaria.

At the exhibition, I also presented my most difficult photo to shoot: the North American Nebula. A close friend of mine, who also takes photographs, and I worked on the shot for two consecutive evenings. Generally speaking, the photo was taken with a "tracker" and its final appearance is the result of 60 "stacked" shots. The processing wasn't easy either and took quite a while, but it was definitely worth it in the end.

At the very opening of the exhibition, one of my most dramatic landscape photographs found its new home: a shot of Lake Sinanitsa taken after a storm. I was hiking with a friend when the storm took us by surprise and we were sheltered at the Sinanitsa hut. Once the weather cleared, I captured this majestic view.

Selecting the shots was a challenge, but since the header photo was of Spiderman agama sp. I selected mostly wildlife shots. I added fewer landscapes, but I also decided to feature one of my fun shots: a knitted handmade frog (made by a friend of mine) watching a sunset in the town of. Hopfensee, Germany. To my amazement - it was the first photo that was bought and it turned out to be the most coveted photo to own from the whole exhibition. ChillaxRoom bought it and at the moment, it is still on display there.
